Are you ready for some FOOTBALLLLLLLLL???

To celebrate the season, I’ve teamed up with BlogHer and P&G for their “Take It To The House” football program this fall. So here’s a little bit about how I love to celebrate game days, and my favorite hometown team (hint hint — I’m from KC!). And I’ve also rounded up some of my favorite links for game day recipes, entertaining, crafting, kiddo-entertaining, contests, and even a few “Football 101” links for anyone who may have been afraid to ask! :)

So read on for some fun game day ideas!

So yes – I’m sure you guessed. Having grown up in Kansas, and now making my home in Kansas City, I’m a big fan of our Chiefs, who kicked off the year with a bang! :-)  Unfortunately, I almost always have to work on Sunday afternoons, so it’s the rare occasion that I get to be home and with friends to watch the game. But when we do (and especially during the SuperBowl!), I absolutely love afternoons filled with great friends, a great game (hopefully!), and of course…lots of great food!

My usual goal for game day entertaining is minimal stress. Granted, I like everyone to be able to enjoy at least a little more than take-out pizza and beer. :)  But you won’t find me slaving away in the kitchen during the game…I much prefer to be cheering with the crowd! So I’m all for quick, simple, yet delicious recipes that you can prepare before everyone arrives. And then — since so many of my friends are stellar cooks — I’m all for inviting everyone bring along a favorite app or drink to share as well!

So below I’ve included links to some of my favorite recipes, as well as all sorts of other ideas for making game day entertaining a fun success! From the simple to extravagant, hopefully these ideas will provide inspiration to try at least a few new things this football season. Enjoy!!
