Hey Deborah!

Oooh - I'd never heard of the 7-up idea. Sounds intriguing! I used to love making "sparkling jello" with club soda as a kid. Love those bubbles.

Fun!

Our family recipe used 7-Up instead of water. Still one of my favorite ways to eat jello and applesauce.

Have enjoyed red hot jello for 40 years. My recipe was obtained from a family friend and is only a bit different. I use a large Lemon jello and then layer the mixture in a mold with cream cheese. Add half the jello mix, chill to set then spread with softened cream cheese (use about 4 ounces of cream cheese.). Add the rest of the mixture on top and chill. The cream cheese adds an interesting contrast to the spicy red hots.
